Students have access to a counsellor and nurse, free of charge, during school hours.
All students have wrap-around support from a team including their whanau ako class, teachers, Kaiaarahi (Tutor Teachers), Kaitiaki (Deans), Deputy Principals, Counsellor, Registered Nurse, Careers Advisor, Gateway Administrator and a SENCO (Special Needs Co-ordinator).
Peer Support programmes have introduced opportunities for senior students to contribute to counselling and guidance support for students attending secondary school. The Peer Support programme is designed to help students achieve success at school by developing their relationship skills, their self-esteem and sense of belonging.

Junior students entering high school are helped to adjust to life at school with this programme
Senior students are trained as peer support leaders to work with and support junior students as they start high school
The peer support programme through group discussion and activities led by senior students helps to develop self confidence, trust and friendship.
